What's in a name?

A name is only something that you will have for the rest of your life. For some its there so that your friends at school have something to twist into a cruel nickname which could haunt you well into adulthood. For others its there so that your parents have something to yell when your so obviously up to no good. For most its there so that you have something to sign your life away with. For my wife and I its there so that we have something to speed up our journey to insanity.

With my wife's due date fast approaching we are franticly trying to find that perfect name for our child. So far we have made it through over 50,000 names none of which are good enough for our baby. Most of our friends and family no longer make suggestions because they have figured out that no name will ever be good enough for us. Not that we don't appreciate the help. As each day passes my wife and I flip flop on who will be worried about the name. We have come close a few times to finding that right name, but just like that big fish you were about to net they all seem to get away.

So for those of you who call or e-mail weekly don't get discouraged, don't stop sending those names. I promise one of these times you will get the response your looking for, and who knows it could be the very name that you suggested.
